Hey all,

I recently started a new character, Necromancer/Mesmer. I'm still in PRE so I got some room foor adjustments

I've looked around on this forum for some builds but I can only come up with builds that uses skills from the expansions, which I don't have.

Could anyone tell me a great build for a N/M that's fun to play. Personally I was thinking of an Minion Master or something similar to that.

You don't need a good build when you're this new to the game.
If you want to be a minion master just put on skills that animate minions and keep them up.
Oh and a mod will probably close this since you can't just ask for a build.
Read the rules so you don't get banned

yeah, not suppose to ask for builds ;-) u can search forums and pvxwiki.com to find a bunch. since ur brand new in pre and don't have expansions, ur pretty limited to the skills u can use. just read up on the skills and try to piece together skills that work well with each other. minions would prolly be a good option for u like talisk said. so put in skills that increase effectiveness of minions or skills that have the same attribute (death magic)

I personally find minion master easier to do well as a N/Mo or N/R for skills like [heal area] and [healing spring]. As a N/Me, I'd suggest the typical SS build, but you will be a long way off before you have access to the elite and some of the skills for it. Basically you use [Spiteful spirit] with [arcane echo]. You can also take some interrupts/energy management skills (although Soul Reaping should be all the e-management you need). Or, if you wanted you could make use of the Necro and Mesmer hexes to use [soul barbs] to nice effect.

There are a lot of options, but minion master has little use from your secondary, so I'd consider other builds until you can change secondary.
